Christian International School of Prague’s elementary school (Grades 1-5) curriculum focuses on developing basic skills in English language reading, writing and grammar, while building foundational skills in mathematics, science, social studies, and Bible. Other class opportunities include music, art, physical education (PE), and Czech language. Our students also participate in an elementary chapel service every Wednesday.

Specials
Elementary classes are involved in many special activities throughout the year, such as Reading Day and the Hundredth Day of School. Classes also take periodic field trips to museums and exhibits throughout the beautiful city of Prague and its surrounding areas.

Details about the elementary school curriculum can be found in the CISP Curriculum Guide.
Field Trips
Throughout the year, elementary grades take field trips in the area that match the curriculum. For example, first grade students visit the butterfly exhibit at the botanical garden during their insect unit.
During the last two weeks of the school year, several days are set aside as Elementary Activity Days. The whole elementary goes on fun trips together. The destinations vary each year and may include the zoo, a jump park, a climbing park, a science museum, and an adventure park.
