Jodi L. Oppenhuizen, Ph.D. – Director
Jodi Oppenhuizen is from Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. She began serving in the Czech Republic in 1999 by helping to establish churches. Jodi became director of the Christian International School of Prague (CISP) in April 2021 and has served at CISP since 2013. She is the third director since CISP began in 2004. Jodi previously was a school counselor and taught AP Psychology. She loves the cultural diversity of the CISP community and appreciates how people from different organizations and churches work together for a common cause.
Jodi is passionate about Christian education. She enjoys collaborating with other educators and schools beyond CISP by sharing ideas and resources, creating opportunities for college/university internships and student teaching, including national schools in professional development opportunities, and assisting ACSI Europe at training conferences.
In May 2024, Jodi earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Columbia International University, USA. She focused her dissertation research on how high school student curiosity levels compare with their time in the natural world, Bible reading, rational reflection, and screen time.
Becca Miller, M.Ed. – Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction
Becca Miller began serving as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction in June 2024 but has been at CISP since 2011. She previously served as an elementary classroom teacher, elementary coordinator, and, most recently, curriculum coordinator.
Becca attended Kingswood University in New Brunswick, Canada, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian School Education in 2008. She earned a Master’s Degree in Christian School Administration from Bryan College in 2019.
Becca is passionate about education and working with kids from third cultures. She loves the diversity of CISP and thinks it is incredibly beautiful, giving a glimpse of what Heaven will be like.
